What do I get for Membership?

DUMC membership allows access to DUMC meet’s, subsidised courses, and the opportunity to compete as a part of our bouldering team. It also includes Team Durham membership and BMC insurance and membership the benefits of which are found here. More details including gear borrowing and more can be found here.

Does Membership include access to the Durham Climbing Centre (DCC)?

DUMC membership does not include access to the DCC however once a member you will be able to purchase discounted term passes (usually £100 a term).

I already have Team Durham/BMC membership do I have to pay again?

If you already have paid for either Team Durham or BMC membership let us know and we will ensure you don’t have to pay twice/get refunded the extra cost.

Where can I find out about upcoming events?

Upcoming events are advertised on our Instagram and Facebook forum.

What Experience do i need to join DUMC?

We are open to beginners and experienced climbers alike, get involved whether you are looking for a partner or to learn the basics.

Can I leave the mailing list?

No.

How do I know if I’ve got a space on a meet/course?

Following the signup form we will send out confirmation emails so wait patiently.

Do you need membership/to signup to attend socials?

No, just come along at the times advertised. We would love as many people as possible, so bring your friends its a blast!
